Review & Annual Maintenance
The Quality Management System (QMS) we set up handles the core processes of the business. Since ISO9001 is directly concerned with customer satisfaction, these processes are those processes that directly interact with the customer. Once the system is bedded down and all procedures are working well, it is time to look at some of the other procedures within the business; those that do not directly affect the customer. These could involve the admin processes, the financial processes and some operational processes. We usually recommend waiting a year before adding new procedures to be under the umbrella of the QMS. These new processes will become part of the non-conformance, internal auditing and review as takes place in the quality system.
We have found that people who work with 6-8 procedures are very poor at being able to write them down succinctly. They will frequently miss out steps, and gloss over parts of their work that have become grey areas with several approaches. We offer a service where our consultant will visit your office and use Reverse Process Management to write up some of these new procedures.
Another service we offer is an annual audit of your QMS. Each second-party certificate that we give you on successful completion of our external audit is valid for one year from the date of the audit. We like to stay in touch with you throughout the year between the annual audits, and offer a free service to answer any emailed quality questions that may arise during that year.
